“Rain drops on roses and whiskers on kittens…” Anyone else start singing that song when they think of their favorite things?
No? Just me…lol…
I realized I’ve never shared a list of my top anything on this blog, and there are so many things that are staples for me. Today I’m going to share a few. Let’s check them out!
Maybe its because I’m a nurse, or the I loved to color when I was younger, but I have a ridiculous collection of pens and markers. The more colors the better. Oh and don’t let it do something fancy like erase ink, or have a light on the end. I must have it! I don’t think I have a favorite type of pen either.I just like them all. I am fascinated that my handwriting will change depending on the pen I’m using. I just love pens!
NOTEBOOKS: It only makes sense that I have a thing for notebooks to go along with my pens. Just like pens, I pick up a notebook at most stores I visit. Nordstrom Rack, TJ Maxx, Target, you name it, I’m pretty sure I’ve purchased one from there. I use them from just about anything also. Journaling, note taking, scheduling, drawing, budgeting, just to name a few. I keep one in my work bag, my car, and my computer bag, not to mention the self full that haven’t been cracked open yet. They make great gifts too!
FAUX GLASSES: I have wanted to wear glasses since the 4th grade. That was about the time my classmates started coming to school with glasses. I would borrow my friends glasses and them moment I put them on the obsession began. I began purchasing faux frames at Claire’s and other accessory stores. I’m so glad they are so easy to find now. So many styles and colors to choose from. I think everyone should try a pair!
LASH EXTENTIONS: One of my first introductions to make up was mascara. I always had a love-hate relationship with it though. I loved the look it gave but I hated that it would smudge under my eye. *insert lash extensions* I went to a banquet in college ( yes, banquet… I went to a private school) and decided to get my makeup done at MAC. I absolutely fell in love with my eye make up. The lashes caught my full attention. I bought them everywhere I could find them and would practice applying them every week for church. I’ve got it down now. So no more smudges, just amazing lashes!
Photography: Once upon a time we would take pictures with a little green camera. We would patiently wait a whole seven days to see the magic that we had made. The best thing to ever happen to me was the invention of the digital camera. I makes everything so easy! I love taking pictures, posing for pictures, editing pictures. I have a few different cameras, but the Sony A5100 and my iPhone camera are the ones I use the most.
