Happy New Year!
Two weeks late, but it still counts, right?! This year has already proven to be quite unpredictable. How i thought I was going to begin my year was completely turned upside down, but we’ll talk about that at another time. Let’s get to that “new year, new me” stuff. I’m really not the biggest on resolutions, but this year is a little different, in that its also the beginning of a new decade. I decided to use the new year as a continuation of my thoughts about turning 35. There’s so much that I want to work through to improve and grow myself and there is no better time than now.
So what’s on my list? There are quite a few goals I’ve been toying with. One thing I’ve needed was a plan to accomplish them. I decided to do something different with my list. First I broke my goals into categories, Spiritual, Health, Personal, and Financial. I then followed it with “how.”
For example:
-
Loose 20 pounds
-
schedule workouts every Sunday
-
pack gym bag and put in car
-
post accountability picture on IG story
-
So now I have more than just a list, I have a plan! You know the saying, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.” I am the queen of making lists. I’m sure there’s one in every notebook I own. But those lists are no good if I don’t have a way to get them done.
Here are some of the other items on my list.
-
Daily Devotion
-
Wake up at least 2 hours prior to first obligation for the day
-
Devotional chosen from Bible App
-
Post Bible verse daily on IG
-
-
Meal Prep
-
Plan meals for the week
-
Grocery shop on Sunday
-
-
Self Care
-
Schedule a massage monthly
-
Schedule a rest day
-
-
Have $**** in Savings account
-
plan out a sustainable monthly budget
-
auto transfer money to savings account
-
live on half of income until goal is met
-
These are just a few examples of what I’m working on. I’ll post an update on my progress in a couple months. Wish me luck!
